Hello New/Existing Clinics, Welcome to the Member's Portal! I realize that there are several different Forum Posts with lots of new information/training material. This post is to serve as the START HERE Post, as it contains several of the most important resources to consider when getting started. A few things to note: 1.) Do not download the Datacolor Spyder Software that comes with the device. If you have done this, please uninstall, as the Oligoscan will not work with this software downloaded on your computer. The only thing you need to download is the Oligoscan software via the Welcome Email or at MyOligoscan.com/downloads 2.) You won’t need the big large calibration plate that comes in the box, this is for a different application. You will only need the device, the USB Cable, and the small calibration plate. When you plug the device into your computer, you want the device to be sitting on the small calibration plate on a flat surface so that it can calibrate properly. This is demonstrated in my how to video below. 3.) If using a MAC, you must go to SECURITY & PRIVACY in SYSTEM PREFERENCES and allow the Download from the Oligoscan Developer upon opening the Oligoscan Application. If using a PC Computer, you will need to make sure that you go through the Installation Process in its entirety and download all 3 components. Some clinics X out early..please continue through all 3 until the Installer says, Finish. 4.) If you are having trouble, making a test, use these TROUBLESHOOTING TIPS: • closing all open programs and other open windows (too many open will cause problems) • disconnect your device, reconnect your device • log out of your Oligoscan account • reboot your computer • log into your Oligoscan account on the 1 computer/laptop you wish to make a test • from Dashboard, connect your device & allow it to calibrate (Green Ready Bar) • now try making your new Oligoscan test. 90% of the time, it is a weak Internet Connection and not the device. If you do think it is the device, I recommend trying to install the Oligoscan Software on another computer and attempting to make a test first. 5.) To view HOW MANY TESTS YOU HAVE REMAINING: Log into the Oligoscan Software, while on the Dashboard, click on ADD AN ELEMENT, Double click on INFORMATIONS, Use your cursor to make the dialogue box bigger and you will be able to see how many tests you have remaining. The Software will only deduct a Test from your Account if it populates the Test Report. If something happens and you get an error message, it won’t deduct a test. You can view how many tests you have remaining by: You will really only be using the Patient List tab. Sulfur Conjugation Q- How is the Blockage Suspicion for heavy metal elimination, possibly from Sulfur Conjugation, being calculated? Is the result/ratio calculated using the Zinc, Sulphur (essential for detox), and a combination of the heavy metal data? In my case, both Zn and S only changed a tiny bit. Or is this a completely independent measurement, like Oxidative Aggression? A- The sulfo-conjugation index, is a calculated marker and not a measurement. This index is calculated using the measurement of sulfur in relation to the overall mineral balance. This means that we will determine if the possible lack of sulfur is an isolated deficiency or a general state of all the minerals (low). It is the presence of sulfur in the body that largely determines phase 2 of the liver detox.
